Heidi's House is the Australian version of the Austrian folk lore story of Heidi, a story of a young girl who went to live in remote regional Australia, the Central Australian desert, learning the old ways of the Australian bush, taking lessons from the stories of self-responsibility and self-awareness, of building a nation through positivity and building strength and community through connections.
As the Austrian story goes, as Heidi grew, she knew she didn't own that knowledge, and she used every opportunity possible to transfer this knowledge to others to improve people's lives and her country. She shared stories of life, faith, fresh air, fresh farmed produce and a care for country.
Heidi's House core aim is to provide connection just like the Austrian Heidi did but from the Australian Heidi, sharing stories of our rich Australian history, through the eyes of the people and places of regional Australia. Heidi's House aim's to provide opportunity for communities to connect from the city to the bush to enrich all our lives, to support our nation to thrive and take pride in all that we are.
In honour of the inspirational Australian people that have gone before us that have enriched our lives, our elders, farmers, nurses, teachers and preachers and especially the women that have held it all together in extraordinary circumstances, join Heidi in the next chapter of Australia's story.
Fresh produce and farming is at the core of our Australian foundational way of living, it brings vitality and life through what we eat and our environment. From mangoes and bananas in the Northern Territory and Queensland to the potatoes and lamb of New South Wales and Victoria we are blessed to be able to produce food for us and the world.
To build a 'wellness' focused Australia we need to consume more fresh, local food, as much as possible. By doing so, we have better chances at having a quality life, and in doing so, are supporting others through our economy to do the same.
In the fresh cut flower industry, buying local reduces the biosecurity risk of introduced pests and disease from imported flowers. At Heidi's House, we are growing Dahlia's in the summer, pesticide free, full of natural colour and grown with the care, ready for your next event in and around the Tamworth and the New England districts of NSW.
Event hosting and facilitation delivered with intent, an Australian sense of identity and vitality, give your event the experience of expert engagement through creative commentary that connects people and place with a real Aussie flare.
Come and experience what the Territory life can do for you. Kick start your career with a station life experience.
In a rare event, the Northern Territory is coming to Tamworth, experience all the Territory has to offer and meet some Territorians.
